Arti & Vineet Mehrotra Welfare Foundation

The Arti & Vineet Mehrotra Welfare Foundation (AVM Welfare Foundation), established in 2022 by the Director of FONTY Supply Chain Solutions, Arti Mehrotra, and her daughter, Mahika Mehrotra, is a philanthropic initiative dedicated to empowering underprivileged and marginalised sections of society.

Our mission is to uplift marginalised and underserved communities by delivering impactful, action-driven solutions that foster resilience and promote long-term self-reliance.

We are committed to providing practical and sustainable support in often-overlooked areas – urban slums, rural regions, low-income households, and vulnerable communities. Our multifaceted initiatives primarily focus on Education, Sports, Healthcare, Skill Development, and Cultural Preservation through the promotion of art and music.

Our Core Areas of Impact

At AVM Welfare Foundation, we are deeply committed to transforming lives through our key pillars of impact – Education, Sports, Healthcare, and Skill Development. Through these initiatives, we aim to empower individuals, provide essential resources, and foster strong, self-sustaining communities.

Each of these pillars is designed with a focused purpose, working collectively to create meaningful, measurable, and lasting change within society.

Education

We help fulfill the dreams of students from underprivileged families by covering school and college fees for the institutions of their choice. Over 50 students – including those studying to become doctors, engineers, nurses, musicians, and artists – are currently supported under our Educational Support and Literacy programme. Some are now in their final year of university.

We provide supplies, including school uniforms, bags, stationary and technology, as well as improve school infrastructure with toilets, drinking water facilities, and utensils. We also provide Braille kits and musical instruments to visually impaired children so they can continue education in the best way for them. To date, over 1,600 children and young adults have been supported – and counting.

Healthcare

We work to improve access to healthcare and well-being for those most in need. Our initiatives include free medical check-ups, surgeries, and blood donation camps, benefiting over 100 people so far.

We also provide more than 1,000 meals each month to hospital patients and their families, ensuring that no one goes hungry during treatment. In addition, we support senior citizens and children in orphanages with blankets, clothing, and medicines, offering care and dignity to those in vulnerable situations.

Skill Development

We are dedicated to equipping individuals with practical skills that lead to meaningful employment and long-term independence. Through our Skill Development Center, we provide specialised training in the logistics sector, including Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operations and servicing.

A key part of our initiative focuses on women who have had limited access to education or have faced difficult life circumstances – including those who are widowed or re-entering the workforce for the first time. For them, we offer vocational programmes in tailoring, beauty, and digital literacy, empowering them to rebuild their confidence, gain financial stability, and take control of their futures.

Looking ahead, we plan to expand our curriculum to include IoT, predictive maintenance, and modern MHE systems, preparing our students for the evolving job market.

To date, over 50 individuals have benefitted from our skill development and vocational training programmes – and this number continues to grow as we create new pathways to self-reliance.

Sports

We believe that sports cultivate discipline, teamwork, and confidence – values that build strong individuals and communities. We sponsor coaching programmes, sports kits, and essential equipment to ensure that every aspiring athlete has the opportunity to pursue their passion.

Currently, we support over 100 athletes – both men and women – across cricket, hockey, and football. Through partnerships with local coaches and academies, we provide not only resources but also guidance and exposure to competitive platforms.

By investing in sports, we help young athletes unlock their potential and represent themselves – and their communities – with pride.

Our Impactful Campaigns: Making a Difference

Apart from its core initiatives, the AVM Welfare Foundation runs campaigns to respond to emerging community challenges.

Winter Warmth Drive

The AVM Welfare Foundation runs the Winter Warmth Drive, an initiative dedicated to supporting elderly and homeless individuals during the harsh winter months. Through this programme, we provide blankets, warm clothing, and essential winter supplies to help ensure comfort, safety, and dignity for those most vulnerable to the cold.

So far, over 100 senior citizens have been supported through blanket distributions at old-age homes, with many more reached through our wider community programmes. At AVM, we believe that providing warmth means offering care, respect, and reassurance to those who need it most.

Back-to-School Kit programme

This initiative supports children in rural and remote areas by providing school uniforms, bags, sweaters, and essential educational materials. The goal is to ensure that every child can attend school with dignity, free from social stigma or financial barriers.

To date, over 1,600 students have benefited through the distribution of school supplies and warm clothing. We’ve also contributed to improving school infrastructure through water tank installations and toilet facilities in government schools, creating a cleaner and safer learning environment.

Animal Care Fund

The AVM Welfare Foundation is deeply committed to animal welfare, extending compassion and care to stray and injured animals through our Animal Care Fund. This initiative provides food, medical treatment, and vaccinations to animals in need, while also fostering community awareness about kindness and humane treatment.

In just a few months, we have supported over 50 animals with vaccinations and medication, and our efforts continue to expand. Through this programme, we aim to build a world where compassion extends to all living beings.

Tree For Tomorrow

The Tree for Tomorrow campaign by the AVM Welfare Foundation inspires entire communities, schools, and villages to come together and plant trees for a greener future. This initiative not only promotes environmental awareness but also encourages hands-on participation in protecting and restoring nature.

Through education and collective action, the project aims to combat the effects of climate change, improve local ecosystems, and create a lasting culture of sustainability in regions with limited vegetation.

At AVM, we believe that every tree planted is a step toward a cleaner, healthier, and more hopeful tomorrow.

Orphanages

At the AVM Welfare Foundation, we remain committed to empowering orphaned children through education, dignity, and holistic care. Our initiatives focus on ensuring that every child feels supported, valued, and prepared for a brighter future. Recent efforts include:

  • Providing full school uniforms and bags to 25 orphaned students, ensuring they attend school with pride and confidence.
  • Donating a desktop computer, enabling 15 orphaned girls to begin their digital education journey and gain essential computer literacy skills.
  • Distributing 1,000+ sweaters among school-going children to keep them warm and comfortable during the winter months.

These initiatives reflect our belief in equal opportunities for all children – nurturing not only their learning but also their confidence, resilience, and sense of belonging.

Support for Differently Abled Children

At the AVM Welfare Foundation, we believe that inclusivity is the cornerstone of a humane and equitable society. Every child, regardless of ability, deserves the chance to learn, grow, and live with dignity. To empower children with special needs, we have provided mobility and assistive aids, including:

  • 10 wheelchairs
  • 10 CP (Cerebral Palsy) chairs
  • 10 tricycles

These aids go beyond physical support – they represent independence, accessibility, and equal opportunity. By ensuring that every child can move freely and participate fully in school and community life, we take another step toward a society where no child is left behind.

Our efforts have so far reached:

  • Children with physical disabilities affecting movement of their hands and legs
  • Children who are visually impaired, helping them access education and daily life with greater ease

At AVM, our goal is to create an environment where every child, regardless of ability, feels valued, supported, and capable of achieving their dreams.

Grocery and Nutrition Support

At the AVM Welfare Foundation, we understand that the first years of a child’s life are the foundation for their future. For babies and young children in our partner orphanages, food and daily care are vital to healthy growth and development. To ensure their well-being, we have provided:

  • Baby milk powder for infants
  • Essential groceries for orphanages caring for young children

But for us, it’s not just about providing food – it’s about nourishing lives. We strive to ensure that no child sleeps on an empty stomach and that every child feels the comfort, warmth, and love of being cared for.

Our efforts also extend to families in need. We provided complete diet kits to 25 families in Itarsi, ensuring they had access to nutritious meals every day. These simple yet powerful acts brought relief and dignity to families facing hardship – reminding them that food is not just sustenance, but a symbol of hope, strength, and togetherness.
